Bacopa is a short growing and spreading, long flowering aquatic plant, useful as ground cover. It needs moist conditions however. It has bright mid green leaves that are ovate with serrations around the edges. It has masses of open simple 5-petalled flowers with yellow centres. Some trailing varieties are suitable as filler plants for hanging baskets and containers.
